## Official VALORANT Tournament Rulebook
# 1. Introduction
This document contains the official rules and regulations for the QUEST LEVEL UP SERIES VALORANT tournament.
* The tournament is organized by Quest Esports and is designed mainly for amateur and upcoming VALORANT teams in Sri Lanka.
* All players, Team Captains, coaches and team representatives must read and understand this rulebook before participating.
* By registering, all teams agree to follow these rules and accept the decisions of tournament organizers, administrators and referees.
* Quest Esports may amend rules, schedules, formats or match procedures when required to protect fairness and tournament integrity.
* Where this rulebook conflicts with the general Quest Esports VALORANT Tournament Rulebook, the rules in this document will take priority.
# 2. Tournament Eligibility
## 2.1 Amateur Tournament Eligibility
* The QUEST LEVEL UP SERIES is intended primarily for amateur and upcoming VALORANT teams.
* Sri Lanka's current Top 2 VALORANT teams are not eligible to participate as complete teams.
* Individual players belonging to the current Top 2 teams may participate for another eligible team, subject to the Top Player Rule stated in Section 2.3.
* Tournament organizers may review and reject any roster that does not meet the tournament's eligibility requirements.
* All eligibility decisions made by the tournament organizers are final.
## 2.2 Regional Eligibility
* All participating players must be Sri Lankan citizens or residents currently living in Sri Lanka.
* Tournament administrators may request proof of citizenship or residency.
* Failure or refusal to provide requested verification may result in removal from the tournament.
## 2.3 Top Player Rule
The teams and players officially identified by Quest Esports as belonging to Sri Lanka's current Top 2 VALORANT teams will be considered restricted under the Top Player Rule.
* Sri Lanka's current Top 2 VALORANT teams may not participate in the QUEST LEVEL UP SERIES as complete teams.
* Players belonging to those teams are considered **Top Players**.
* Top Players may individually participate for other eligible teams.
* A registered team may have a **maximum of ONE Top Player** on its entire tournament roster.
* The one-player limit applies to both starting players and substitutes.
* A team may not register one Top Player as a starting player and another Top Player as a substitute.
* A Top Player may represent only one team during the tournament.
* Top Players must register and compete using their own Riot ID and correct identity.
* Alternate Riot IDs, substitute accounts, false registration information or any attempt to bypass the Top Player Rule are prohibited.
* If a roster contains more than one Top Player, the roster must be corrected before it can be approved.
* If a team intentionally bypasses the Top Player Rule after registration or during the tournament, penalties may include player removal, map forfeiture, match forfeiture or disqualification.
* Quest Esports may update the list of teams or players considered part of the current Top 2 before a tournament begins.
* Tournament organizers have final authority in determining whether a player falls under the Top Player classification.
## 2.4 Official Account Requirement
* All players must register and compete using their own valid Riot ID.
* Account sharing, smurfing, impersonation, false registration information and identity misrepresentation are prohibited.
* Quest Esports may request identity verification through a NIC, passport, student ID or equivalent document before, during or after a match.
* Failure or refusal to comply may result in immediate disqualification.
## 2.5 Team Identity Standards
* Team names, player names, Riot IDs, logos and profile images must not contain offensive, obscene, hateful, discriminatory or inappropriate content.
* Tournament administrators may request changes or apply penalties where necessary.
# 3. Registration
## 3.1 Registration Process
* Registration will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
* A maximum of 10 teams will be accepted unless otherwise announced for a particular tournament.
* Submitting the registration form does not automatically confirm a slot.
* A team is confirmed only after the registration form, payment, payment slip and roster have been reviewed and approved.
## 3.2 Registration Status
Registrations may be shown as:
* Pending Verification
* Confirmed
* Rejected
* Waiting List
Only teams with Confirmed status will be added to the final tournament list and bracket.
## 3.3 Registration Deadline
* Teams must complete registration and payment before the announced deadline.
* Incomplete or unpaid registrations may lose their slot.
* Unconfirmed slots may be offered to teams on the waiting list.
## 3.4 Registration Information
Teams must provide accurate information, including:
* Team name
* Team Captain's name
* Player names
* Riot IDs
* Discord usernames
* Contact numbers
* Email addresses
* Substitute details, where applicable
* Coach details, where applicable
Incorrect, incomplete or misleading information may result in rejection or disqualification.
# 4. Payment Information
* Official payment instructions will be provided through approved Quest Esports registration or communication channels.
* Teams must use only the payment information officially provided by the tournament organizers.
* Quest Esports will not be responsible for payments made using unofficial, outdated or incorrect information.
# 5. Payment Slip Verification
## 5.1 Payment Slip Requirement
Teams must upload a clear payment slip showing:
* Payment amount
* Transaction date
* Receiving account
* Transaction or reference number
* Sender name, where available
## 5.2 Verification Status
* Registration remains Pending Verification until payment is reviewed and approved.
* Teams without verified payment will not be added to the final bracket.
## 5.3 Invalid Payment Slips
A registration may be rejected if the payment slip is:
* Invalid
* Edited or manipulated
* Duplicated
* Unclear or unreadable
* For an incorrect amount
* Linked to an unsuccessful transaction
* Previously used for another registration
Fraudulent payment evidence may result in the team and its players being banned from future Quest Esports tournaments.
# 6. Team Composition
## 6.1 Team Roster
* Each team must register 5 starting players.
* Teams may register up to 2 substitutes.
* The official player roster may therefore include 5 starting players and up to 2 substitutes.
* Teams may additionally register 1 coach.
* Coaches are not considered part of the playable player roster.
## 6.2 One-Team Rule
* A player may represent only one team during the tournament.
* A player may not be registered as a starting player or substitute for multiple teams.
## 6.3 Stand-Ins
* Players who are not included in the approved roster are considered stand-ins.
* Stand-ins are not permitted unless specifically approved by tournament administrators under exceptional circumstances.
## 6.4 Roster Lock
* Rosters become locked when registration closes.
* Changes after the deadline require tournament administrator approval.
* Exceptional requests may be considered for medical emergencies, serious personal emergencies or situations outside the team's reasonable control.
* All roster change requests must be submitted by the registered Team Captain.
## 6.5 Substitutions
* Substitutions are allowed only between maps.
* Substitutions are not allowed during an active round or map.
* The referee or tournament administrator must be informed before a substitution.
* The substitute must already be part of the approved roster.
## 6.6 Coaches
* Each team may register a maximum of **one coach**.
* Having a coach is optional.
* A coach must be officially registered with the team before participating in any match-related activity.
* Coaches must be **physically present at the tournament venue**.
* Remote coaching through Discord, TeamSpeak, phone calls, video calls or any other communication platform is not permitted during official matches.
* Only the team's registered coach will be recognized as its official coach.
* A coach may represent only one team during the tournament unless specifically approved by tournament administrators.
* Coaches must follow all instructions given by referees, administrators and venue staff.
* Coaches are subject to the Code of Conduct and all relevant tournament rules.
## 6.7 Coach Communication
* Coaches may communicate with their players before and after maps.
* During an active map, coaches may communicate with players only during officially permitted tactical timeouts or other periods specifically approved by the referee.
* Coaches may not communicate with players during active rounds.
* Coaches may not provide information obtained from spectators, tournament broadcasts, observer screens, livestreams or other external sources.
* During technical pauses, coaches may not provide tactical information unless specifically permitted by the referee.
* Coaches must remain in the area assigned to them by tournament officials.
* Tournament administrators may remove a coach from the match area if the coach interferes with tournament operations or violates tournament rules.
# 7. Tournament Format
## 7.1 Tournament Structure
The tournament format may include:
* Single elimination
* Double elimination
* Group stage
* Playoffs
* Best-of-One matches
* Best-of-Three matches
* Best-of-Five matches
* The final format will be announced before the tournament begins.
* Organizers may adjust the format based on confirmed teams, available time or venue conditions.
## 7.2 LAN Format
* All matches will be played on LAN at the officially announced venue unless otherwise announced.
* Players must use equipment, networks and tournament setups approved by the organizers.
* All teams must follow venue and event staff instructions.
## 7.3 Match Schedule
* The official schedule will be announced by the tournament organizers.
* Teams must regularly check official channels for match dates, reporting times, bracket updates, venue instructions and schedule changes.
* Organizers may change match times where necessary.
# 8. Venue Reporting and Check-In
## 8.1 Reporting Time
* All registered players participating in the match must be present at the venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled match time unless another reporting time is officially announced.
* Registered coaches should also be present before their team's scheduled match.
* Teams must complete player check-in and equipment setup during this period.
* A player arriving less than 30 minutes before the scheduled match time may be considered late and may be subject to penalties determined by tournament administrators.
## 8.2 Late Arrival
* A team that is not ready within 10 minutes of its scheduled match time may forfeit the match.
* Possible penalties include a warning, loss of map choice, loss of side choice, map forfeiture, match forfeiture or disqualification.
* Teams must immediately inform tournament administrators if they expect to be late.
* Informing an administrator does not guarantee that a penalty will be removed.
## 8.3 Player and Coach Check-In
Players may be required to confirm:
* Identity
* Riot ID
* Team roster
* Equipment readiness
* Attendance
* Registration details
Registered coaches may be required to confirm:
* Identity
* Team affiliation
* Registration details
* Only approved players may use tournament stations.
* Only registered and approved coaches may enter designated coaching or match areas.
# 9. Match Lobby and Game Settings
Unless otherwise announced:
* Mode: Tournament
* Cheats: Off
* Overtime: Win by Two
* Lobby: Closed
* Map Pool: Tournament-approved
* Game Version: Tournament-approved
Only the following individuals may enter or observe the lobby or designated match area where applicable:
* Registered players
* Registered coaches, where permitted
* Tournament administrators
* Referees
* Official observers
* Official casters
* Approved production staff
* Unauthorized spectators or team representatives are not permitted.
* Coaches do not receive observer privileges unless specifically authorized by tournament administrators.
* Coaches must follow the communication restrictions stated in Section 6.7.
* Tournament administrators will determine the approved LAN server, network and match configuration.
* Once a match has started, the server or network configuration may not be changed without administrator approval.
# 10. Pre-Match Ban Process
## 10.1 First-to-5 Skirmish
* Before every official match, both teams will play a First-to-5 skirmish on the map announced by tournament administrators.
* The skirmish is used only to determine Team A and Team B.
## 10.2 Team A and Team B Selection
* The skirmish winner may choose Team A or Team B.
* The losing team receives the remaining designation.
## 10.3 Map Ban and Veto Process
* After Team A and Team B are determined, the official map veto will begin according to the match format.
* The skirmish does not count as an official tournament map and does not affect the match score.
# 11. Map Veto System
## 11.1 Best-of-One (BO1)
* Team A bans 1 map.
* Team B bans 1 map.
* Team A bans 1 map.
* Team B bans 1 map.
* Team A bans 1 map.
* Team B bans 1 map.
* The remaining map will be played.
* Team A chooses the starting side.
## 11.2 Best-of-Three (BO3)
* Team A bans 1 map.
* Team B bans 1 map.
* Team A selects Map 1; Team B chooses the starting side.
* Team B selects Map 2; Team A chooses the starting side.
* Team A bans 1 map.
* Team B bans 1 map.
* The remaining map becomes Map 3; Team A chooses the starting side.
## 11.3 Best-of-Five (BO5)
* Team A bans 1 map.
* Team B bans 1 map.
* Team A selects Map 1; Team B chooses the starting side.
* Team B selects Map 2; Team A chooses the starting side.
* Team A selects Map 3; Team B chooses the starting side.
* Team B selects Map 4; Team A chooses the starting side.
* The remaining map becomes Map 5; Team B chooses the starting side.
## 11.4 Veto Administration
* All veto decisions must be clearly communicated to the referee or administrator.
* A confirmed ban, selection or side choice cannot be changed without administrator approval.
* Teams that unnecessarily delay the veto may receive penalties.
# 12. Maps and Agents
## 12.1 Map Pool
* The tournament will follow Riot Games' official seasonal VALORANT competitive map pool unless otherwise announced.
## 12.2 New Maps
* New maps will normally remain unavailable for 4 weeks after release.
* Organizers may shorten or extend this period based on Riot Games updates or tournament requirements.
## 12.3 New Agents
* New agents will normally remain unavailable for 2 weeks after release.
* Organizers may shorten or extend this period where required.
## 12.4 Disabled Content
* Any map, agent, weapon, ability or game feature disabled by Riot Games or tournament administrators may not be used.
# 13. Gameplay Rules
## 13.1 Competitive Integrity
The following are prohibited:
* Hacking
* Scripting
* Macros
* Third-party cheats
* Unauthorized software
* Bug exploitation
* Account sharing
* Smurfing
* Impersonation
* Ghosting
* Stream sniping
* Match-fixing
* Collusion
* Bribery
* Intentional match manipulation
* Providing false information to tournament staff
* Deliberately bypassing tournament eligibility or roster restrictions
Violations may result in immediate disqualification or bans from future Quest Esports tournaments.
## 13.2 Bug Exploitation
* Players must not intentionally use bugs, glitches or unintended mechanics for an unfair advantage.
* Suspected bugs must be reported to the referee immediately.
* Administrators may allow the round to continue, order a replay, apply a penalty, restart the map or allow the result to stand.
## 13.3 Match-Fixing
* Intentionally losing, arranging a result, manipulating a score, bribery and collusion are prohibited.
* Serious violations may result in a permanent ban from Quest Esports events.
# 14. Pauses and Timeouts
## 14.1 Tactical Timeouts
* Each team is allowed 2 tactical timeouts per map.
* Each tactical timeout lasts up to 60 seconds.
* Each team may receive 1 additional tactical timeout during overtime.
* Tactical timeouts must be initiated through the in-game feature or approved by the referee.
* Registered coaches may communicate with their players during approved tactical timeouts.
## 14.2 Technical Pauses
A technical pause may be requested only for a genuine technical issue, including:
* Hardware failure
* Peripheral failure
* Game crash or freeze
* Network or server issue
* Audio or communication issue
* Power interruption
* Player disconnection
* Venue-related technical issue
* The affected team must immediately explain the reason to the referee.
* Technical pauses must not be used to delay the match or gain an unfair advantage.
## 14.3 Technical Pause Duration
* Technical pauses may last up to 10 minutes per map unless extended by the Head Referee or Tournament Administrator.
* If the issue cannot be resolved, officials may resume the match, replace equipment, replay a round, restart a map, issue a forfeiture or apply another fair solution.
## 14.4 Communication During Technical Pauses
During a technical pause:
* Players must remain at their stations unless instructed otherwise.
* Players must follow referee instructions.
* Tactical discussion may be prohibited by the referee.
* Players must not communicate with spectators or individuals outside the approved roster.
* Mobile phones or other communication devices may not be used without authorization.
* Coaches may not communicate tactical information to players unless the referee explicitly permits communication.
* A technical pause must not be used as an additional coaching opportunity.
## 14.5 Abuse of Pauses
The following are prohibited:
* Repeated unnecessary pause requests
* False technical issue claims
* Deliberate equipment disconnection
* Intentional match delays
* Using technical pauses to obtain unauthorized coaching
Abuse may result in a warning, round penalty, loss of side selection, map forfeiture, match forfeiture or disqualification.
## 14.6 Referee Authority
* Referees and tournament administrators may approve, reject, extend or end any pause.
* All pause-related decisions are final.
# 15. Crashes, Disconnections and Technical Issues
## 15.1 Early-Round Crash
* If a player crashes or disconnects before meaningful damage, engagement or significant gameplay, administrators may order a round replay.
## 15.2 Crash After Significant Gameplay
* If the issue occurs after significant gameplay, the round may continue.
* The referee will determine whether a replay is appropriate.
## 15.3 Map Restart or Replay
* An entire map may be restarted or replayed only at the discretion of tournament administrators.
* A replay request does not guarantee that a replay will be granted.
## 15.4 Hardware and Equipment
* Players must check their equipment before the match.
* Organizers may assist with technical issues but cannot guarantee that all personal equipment problems will be resolved.
* Administrators may require players to use approved replacement equipment.
# 16. Match Forfeiture
A team may forfeit a map or match due to:
* Failure to report on time
* Insufficient eligible players
* Use of an unregistered player
* Violation or deliberate circumvention of the Top Player Rule
* Refusal to follow referee instructions
* Leaving the venue without permission
* Serious misconduct
* Cheating or unfair play
* Repeated technical delays caused by negligence
* Failure to complete check-in
* A match may be played 4v5 only if tournament administrators approve.
# 17. Code of Conduct
## 17.1 Player and Coach Behaviour
Players and coaches must behave respectfully toward:
* Opponents
* Teammates
* Coaches
* Referees
* Tournament administrators
* Venue staff
* Casters
* Spectators
* Sponsors
* Event partners
## 17.2 Prohibited Conduct
The following are prohibited:
* Toxicity
* Harassment
* Threats
* Discrimination
* Hate speech
* Abusive language
* Unsportsmanlike behaviour
* Deliberate provocation
* Physical intimidation
* Property damage
* Match disruption
* Refusal to follow staff instructions
## 17.3 Public Conduct
* Players, coaches and teams must not publish false, abusive or threatening statements about staff, opponents or event partners.
* Legitimate complaints must be submitted through the official process.
## 17.4 Penalties
Possible penalties include:
* Verbal warning
* Official warning
* Loss of side selection
* Loss of map selection
* Round penalty
* Map forfeiture
* Match forfeiture
* Player removal
* Coach removal
* Team disqualification
* Prize removal
* Temporary suspension
* Permanent tournament ban
* Coach misconduct may result in the coach being removed from the match area or tournament.
* Serious coach misconduct may also result in penalties against the team where appropriate.
# 18. Staff and Organizer Participation
Quest Esports organizers, staff members, administrators and community members may participate as players or coaches if they meet the relevant eligibility requirements.
However:
* They may not referee or administer their own matches.
* They may not make rulings concerning their own team.
* Their matches must be handled by another authorized tournament official.
* They must not access confidential bracket, veto or opponent information that would provide a competitive advantage.
# 19. Official Update, Change and Replacement Procedure
## 19.1 Official Request Process
Any request to update or change registered team information must be submitted by the **registered Team Captain** using the official communication process below.
This includes requests relating to:
* Player account or Riot ID corrections
* Player replacements
* Roster changes
* Substitute changes
* Coach registration changes
* Coach replacements
* Other corrections to registered team information

* An additional referee or tournament contact may be provided when required.
Both the email and WhatsApp message must be sent unless tournament administrators specifically instruct otherwise.
Requests submitted only through unofficial channels, group chats, other team members or unregistered contact details may not be accepted.
## 19.2 General Request Format
All update, change or replacement requests should clearly include:
* Tournament name
* Team name
* Team Captain's name
* Type of request
* Name of the person affected
* Current registered information, where applicable
* Requested new or corrected information
* Riot ID, where applicable
* Discord username, where applicable
* Contact information, where applicable
* Reason for the request
* Any supporting information or evidence requested by tournament administrators
The email and WhatsApp message should contain the same essential information so that tournament administrators can correctly identify and process the request.
The Team Captain is responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is accurate.
Tournament administrators may request additional information, identification or supporting evidence before approving a change.
## 19.3 Request Deadline and Approval
* Normal corrections and changes should be submitted before registration closes.
* A request is not considered approved simply because it has been submitted.
* The existing registered information remains valid until tournament administrators confirm the change.
* After registration closes, changes may be restricted and will require tournament administrator approval.
* Changes requested after the tournament has started will only be considered where specifically permitted under this rulebook or under exceptional circumstances.
* Tournament administrators may approve, reject or request amendments to any submitted change.
* No player, substitute or coach may participate under updated details until the change has been officially approved where approval is required.
## 19.4 Player Account or Riot ID Update
This procedure applies when a registered player remains the same person but needs to correct or update their account information.
Examples include:
* Riot ID changes
* Incorrect Riot ID submitted during registration
* Discord username corrections
* Contact detail corrections
* Minor errors in registered player information
The request must include:
* Player name
* Current registered Riot ID or information
* Corrected Riot ID or information
* Reason for the correction
* The update must not be used to transfer a registered slot to another person.
* The player must remain the same individual originally registered.
* Tournament administrators may request identity verification where necessary.
* Attempting to use an account update to introduce another player will be treated as an unauthorized player replacement.
## 19.5 Player Replacement
A player replacement occurs when a registered player is removed from the roster and another individual is added in their place.
Player replacements must follow the official request process in Sections 19.1 and 19.2.
The request should include:
* Name and Riot ID of the player being removed
* Name and Riot ID of the proposed replacement player
* Discord username and required contact information of the replacement
* Reason for the replacement
* Any supporting evidence requested by tournament administrators
The following rules apply:
* Player replacements are not automatically approved.
* Before registration closes, replacement requests may be submitted through the normal update process.
* After registration closes, replacements will normally only be considered under exceptional circumstances.
* Exceptional circumstances may include medical emergencies, serious personal emergencies, unavoidable attendance issues or other situations accepted by tournament administrators.
* The replacement player must meet all tournament eligibility requirements.
* The replacement player must not already be registered to another participating team.
* The replacement must comply with the Top Player Rule.
* A replacement that would cause a team to exceed the maximum number of permitted Top Players will not be approved.
* The replacement player may not participate until tournament administrators have officially approved the change.
* Using an unapproved replacement player may result in penalties, including map forfeiture, match forfeiture or disqualification.
### 19.5.1 Replacement After Tournament Start
* Replacements after a team has started its first official match will only be considered under exceptional circumstances.
* The Team Captain must contact tournament administrators as soon as the issue becomes known.
* A player who has already represented another team in the same tournament may not be used as a replacement.
* Tournament administrators may reject a replacement if it creates an unfair competitive advantage.
* Approval of one replacement does not guarantee approval of any further replacement.
* All replacement decisions are final unless an official appeal is accepted.
## 19.6 Substitute Change
A request to add, remove or replace a substitute must also follow Sections 19.1 and 19.2.
The request should identify:
* The substitute being removed or corrected, where applicable
* The proposed new substitute
* Riot ID and required registration details
* Reason for the change
* Any newly added substitute must satisfy all player eligibility requirements.
* The Top Player Rule applies to substitutes as part of the complete registered roster.
* A substitute change may not be used to bypass roster restrictions or eligibility requirements.
* After registration closes, substitute changes require tournament administrator approval.
## 19.7 Coach Registration or Coach Change
Requests relating to a coach must follow the same official request process in Sections 19.1 and 19.2.
This includes:
* Adding a coach
* Correcting coach information
* Removing a coach
* Replacing a registered coach
The request should include:
* Current coach name, where applicable
* New coach name, where applicable
* Relevant contact information
* Reason for the change
* Each team may have only the number of coaches permitted under the tournament rules.
* A newly added or replacement coach must satisfy all applicable coach requirements.
* A coach may not participate in official match-related activities until the change has been approved where approval is required.
* After registration closes, coach changes require tournament administrator approval.
## 19.8 Unauthorized Changes
The following are prohibited:
* Allowing an unregistered player to compete
* Replacing a player without approval where approval is required
* Using another person's Riot account to avoid submitting a replacement
* Providing false information about the identity of a replacement
* Changing substitutes or coaches without following the required process
* Attempting to bypass the Top Player Rule through account, player or roster changes
Unauthorized changes may result in:
* Official warning
* Player removal
* Map forfeiture
* Match forfeiture
* Team disqualification
* Suspension or other penalties determined by tournament administrators
# 20. Tournament Communication
Official communication channels may include:
* Discord
* WhatsApp
* Email
* Official tournament website
* Official social media pages
* The Team Captain is responsible for sharing announcements with all players, substitutes and coaches.
* Failure to check an official announcement will not normally be accepted as a reason for missing a match or requirement.
# 21. Administrator Authority
Tournament administrators may:
* Pause a match
* Restart a round
* Restart a map
* Order a replay
* Adjust the schedule
* Adjust the tournament format
* Issue penalties
* Remove a player
* Remove a coach
* Disqualify a team
* Correct bracket errors
* Investigate allegations
* Request identification or evidence
* Determine Top Player eligibility
* Make rulings on situations not directly covered by this rulebook
* Players, coaches and teams must cooperate fully with official investigations and reasonable staff requests.
* Decisions are final unless an official appeal is accepted.
# 22. Complaints and Appeals
## 22.1 Submitting a Complaint
Complaints must be submitted by the registered Team Captain or authorized team representative and include:
* Team name
* Match details
* Players or coaches involved
* Description of the incident
* Screenshots, recordings or other evidence
* Requested review
## 22.2 Match Complaints
* Match complaints must be raised immediately after the match or before the next bracket round begins unless another deadline is announced.
* Late complaints may be rejected if reviewing them would unfairly affect other teams.
## 22.3 False Complaints
* Knowingly false, misleading or malicious complaints may result in penalties.
# 23. Prize Distribution
* Prize distribution timelines and requirements will be announced for the event.
* Unless otherwise announced, prize money will be transferred to the registered Team Captain.
* The Team Captain must provide valid bank details within the deadline communicated by tournament organizers.
* Prize money will normally be distributed within 7 working days after all required information is received.
* Investigations may delay payment.
* Teams disqualified for serious violations may lose part or all of their prize entitlement.
* Organizers are not responsible for internal prize distribution disputes.
# 24. Media and Event Content
* Players and coaches may be photographed, recorded or featured in broadcasts, livestreams, interviews, highlights and promotional content.
* By participating, players and coaches allow Quest Esports and its official partners to use tournament-related names, images, recordings and match footage for promotion and reporting.
* Players and coaches must cooperate with reasonable media and production requirements.
# 25. Venue Rules and Damage Responsibility
Players, coaches and team representatives must not:
* Damage venue property.
* Damage tournament equipment.
* Tamper with PCs, monitors, peripherals, networking equipment, production equipment or other event equipment.
* Enter restricted areas without permission.
* Interfere with production or broadcasting equipment.
* Disturb other matches.
* Bring prohibited items into the venue.
* Create a safety risk.
* Use venue or tournament equipment in a reckless, abusive or improper manner.
## 25.1 Responsibility for Damage
* Players are responsible for any damage they intentionally or negligently cause to venue property, tournament equipment or equipment belonging to another person.
* Teams may also be held responsible for damage caused by their registered players, substitutes, coaches or representatives.
* This may include damage to PCs, monitors, keyboards, mice, headsets, chairs, desks, cables, network equipment, production equipment, venue fixtures or other tournament and venue property.
* Players must immediately report any accidental damage or equipment issue to a referee, administrator or venue staff member.
* Players must not attempt to hide damage or continue using damaged equipment where doing so may cause further damage.
* Where damage results from intentional actions, reckless behaviour, misuse or negligence, the responsible player or team may be required to cover the reasonable repair or replacement cost.
* Quest Esports and venue management may review available evidence, including referee reports, photographs, video recordings and CCTV footage, when determining responsibility.
* Normal equipment failure or damage caused by ordinary approved use will not normally be treated as player misconduct.
* Serious or intentional property damage may result in immediate removal from the venue, tournament disqualification, suspension or a ban from future Quest Esports events.
* Any requirement to compensate for damaged property is separate from tournament penalties that may also be imposed.
## 25.2 Equipment Condition
* Players must inspect their assigned station before beginning play.
* Any existing damage, defect or equipment issue should be reported immediately before the player begins using the station.
* Failure to report obvious existing damage before use may make it more difficult to determine when or how the damage occurred.
* Players must follow instructions given by venue staff or tournament administrators regarding equipment handling.
## 25.3 Serious Venue Misconduct
Serious misconduct may result in:
* Removal from the match area
* Removal from the venue
* Map forfeiture
* Match forfeiture
* Team disqualification
* Suspension from future tournaments
* Permanent tournament ban
* Responsibility for repair or replacement costs where applicable
# 26. Rule Interpretation
* Tournament administrators will decide situations not directly covered in this rulebook.
* Decisions will consider competitive fairness, VALORANT standards, tournament integrity, player safety, venue requirements and the circumstances of the incident.
* The absence of a specific rule does not prevent administrators from taking reasonable action.
# 27. Acceptance of Rules
By registering, every team, player, substitute and registered coach confirms that they:
* Have read and understood the rulebook.
* Agree to follow all tournament procedures.
* Accept the eligibility requirements.
* Accept the Top Player Rule.
* Accept the coach rules and communication restrictions where applicable.
* Accept the payment and registration conditions.
* Accept the venue rules and responsibility for damage where applicable.
* Accept the decisions of organizers, administrators and referees.
* Understand that violations may result in penalties or disqualification.
* Quest Esports may update the rulebook before or during an event when necessary.
* Official updates will be communicated through approved tournament channels.
